Mach III is a customer driven designer and manufacturer of air and spring engaged friction clutches, brakes, clutch-brake combinations and torque limiters for industrial power transmission applications. Our products are used to connect and disconnect, stop, hold, tension and protect machine components from overload. Mach III components are found in label printing presses, packaging machines, food processing equipment, accumulating conveyors, car washes, wide format laminators, glass tempering furnaces, thermoforming equipment and hundreds of other types of machines operating around the globe.What differentiates Mach III is total focus on application. We take the time to talk and correspond with our customers to achieve a complete picture of what will be required of the clutch, brake, clutch-brake or torque limiter. If a catalog product fits the application, one will be recommended. If not, we will modify an existing product or create an entirely new design that meets the application’s requirements at costs and lead times that most customers find surprisingly reasonable.

Mach III Clutch, Inc. has been in business since the 1960’s. Our founder, Raleigh Becknell, invented and held the patent for the Stationery Air Housing, the design which became an industry standard. Today, Mach III is a third generation, family owned and operated corporation. Engineering, design, sales, customer service and production are located on one site in Walton, Kentucky which is in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area.
